Women around the world: Cycles which result from partnerships with other film festivals, featuring women filmmakers from a specific country and culture. In 2020, the following cycles will be held:

𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥

HER Docs Film Festival is the first film festival in Poland, and one of the few in the world, presenting the documentary oeuvre of female film auteurs. The second edition of the festival will take place in March, 2021 in Warsaw, Poland around the International Women's Day.

HER Docs Film Festival is a unique showcase of the creativity of womxn from different contexts and backgrounds, and aims at elevating their voices in the film industry, as well as putting inspiring, unrepresented stories in the spotlight. The festival serves as a platform for female documentary filmmakers, where their works can be presented, promoted, and reach new audiences. The festival also aims at supporting female filmmakers in their professional development - exchange of experiences, establishing professional contacts, meeting other creators, expanding their networks.

For the Porto Femme International Film Festival, the HER Docs programming team has curated a special programme presenting the selection of Polish shorts from this year’s New Faces section. We hope that the audiences in Porto will enjoy the variety of short documentaries and documentary animations directed by young, emerging Polish female filmmakers.
