#obratorio

A participatory digital repository of the works that inhabit our homes and the stories that accompany them, through a hashtag on Instagram.

#obratorio

#obratorio
Art works shared by those who live with them.

The #obratorio seeks to be a virtual window on the works of art that we host in the privacy of our homes. Works that moved from public to private space, that are part of our home life, with it we develop relationships of singular affection and esteem.

The #obratorio wants to share these works and their stories in a simple and pragmatic way, in order to generate a small observatory on their domestic existence. It works as a digital repository, fed in a free and participatory way, that gathers works of different types and origins, through a hashtag on Instagram.

As a virtual collection platform, the #obratorio allows the creation of bridges and dialogues between the works compiled through the organization of different programming initiatives, such as conversations and virtual exhibitions, with the participation of curators, artists, critics, owners and other friends guests. Initiatives that revisit works that have, in a way, a decorative function, and reposition them within different artistic contexts, bringing them new looks and meanings.

So #obratório is an open repository and an active platform dedicated to the sharing art works and the amplification of the relationships of affection that are established with them.

How to participate?
