Onde situar o desejo? Talvez num espaço

intermédio, numa zona de tensão onde a sua

força não deriva da realização, mas daquilo

que nela permanece por cumprir. É nesse

intervalo, entre reencontro e desencontro,

entre o que já teve lugar e o que apenas se

anuncia, que o desejo adquire espessura,

movendo-se num vaivém constante entre

memória e utopia.

Pensá-lo a partir do seu «entre» é

reconhecê-lo como território liminar. O desejo

instala-se entre a página em branco e a

palavra que tenta fixá-lo, entre presença e

ausência, entre materialidade e evocação,

entre silêncio e enunciação. Não pertence a

nenhum destes termos de forma estável;

produz-se antes na energia que circula entre

eles. Mais do que objeto, é relação. Mais do

que figura, é passagem.

Ao consentirmos desejar o desejo, ao

recusarmos encerrá-lo numa finalidade ou

numa imagem definitiva, mantemos aberta a

sua pulsação. Essa abertura transforma a

linguagem. A escrita deixa de ser apenas

descrição ou comentário e converte-se em

campo de intensidades, num gesto que

convoca o corpo e reinscreve a experiência

no espaço sensível.

Where can desire be located? Perhaps in an

intermediate space, in a zone of tension

where its strength does not derive from

fulfilment, but from what remains unfulfilled. It

is in this gap, between reunion and

separation, between what has already taken

place and what is only announced, that desire

acquires depth, moving constantly between

memory and utopia.

To think of it from its “in-between” is to

recognise it as a liminal territory. Desire

settles between the blank page and the word

that attempts to fix it, between presence and

absence, between materiality and evocation,

between silence and enunciation. It does not

belong to any of these terms in a stable way;

rather, it is produced in the energy that

circulates between them. More than an

object, it is a relationship. More than a figure,

it is a passage.

By consenting to desire desire, by refusing to

enclose it in a purpose or a definitive image,

we keep its pulse open. This opening

transforms the language. Writing ceases to be

merely description or commentary and

becomes a field of intensities, a gesture that

summons the body and reinscribes

experience in the sensitive space. Thus, what

is proposed here is not the capture of desire,

but its activation. Not the resolution of

distance, but its habitation. It is in this

movement that the work finds its vitality:

remaining in transit, exposed, unfinished,

alive.
