Session Presentation
Under the heading Cinema at the table, the Femme Sessions screen, on the last Wednesdays of each month, cinema made by women!
Before the summer break in August, we filled the Maus Hábitos room with two Femme Sessions this month for a “Warm Up” of the 5th Edition that arrives in September.
For the 51st session, our proposal is a documentary that was presented at the XX Element Competition of the 4th Edition of the Porto Femme Film Festival, in 2021: INDEBTED TO ALL WOMEN is co-directed by the duo María Lobo and Roi Guitián. It comes from Spain and tells us about women's reproductive rights in San Salvador, the country with the strictest laws for women. It brings us a topic that is very much on the agenda at a time when we are witnessing in different countries several setbacks to women's rights.

Direction: María Lobo, Roi Guitián
Production: Sonia Díaz, Lorena Seijo, AGARESO
Synopsis
Abortion in El Salvador is punished with 20-40 years in prison. “Indebted to All Women” wants to give voice to those women suffering and struggling to change one of the most restrictive laws in the world for sexual & reproductive rights.
*Every last Wednesday of each month, the Maus Hábitos screens thematic cinema cycles in which the common denominator is films directed by women.
The aim is to give visibility to the work of women in the film industry, through the projection of their works and, whenever possible, their presence in the sessions, promoting the encounter between the public and the authors.
