Tal como a invenção do tubo de tinta permitiu

a Paul Cézanne transportar regularmente o seu

estúdio para os arredores da montanha de

Sainte-Victoire, também a invenção de

minúsculas câmaras digitais permite hoje que,

apesar das tentativas de usurpação da

perceção humana pelo imaginário algorítmico,

possamos experienciar, em tempo real, a mais

recôndita poesia do inimaginável.

Um tempo real que percorre e desbrava, hesita

e se demora, levanta a poeira dos mapas e os

reconfigura.

É com Cézanne na minha imperfeita memória

natural que, desde 2013, me tenho deslocado

aos arredores da foz do rio Sabor onde a água

da barragem se infiltra na paisagem dando

curso à sua própria narrativa.

Os três vídeos que agora apresento são

fragmentos dessa narrativa pós-aquática e

configuram as mutações inimagináveis do seu

tempo real.

Just as the invention of the paint tube enabled

Paul Cézanne to regularly move his studio to the

foothills of Sainte-Victoire, so too does the

invention of tiny digital cameras now allow us,

despite attempts to usurp human perception

through algorithmic imagery, to experience, in

real time, the most hidden poetry of the

unimaginable.

A real time that traverses and clears a path,

hesitates and lingers, stirs up the dust of maps and

reconfigures them.

It is with Cézanne in my imperfect natural memory

that, since 2013, I have been travelling to the

outskirts of the mouth of the River Sabor, where

the water from the dam seeps into the landscape,

giving rise to its own narrative.

The three videos I now present are fragments of

this post-aquatic narrative and depict the

unimaginable mutations of its real time.
