Diana Carvalho (Lisbon, 1986) completed in 2009 the Painting Course at the Faculty of Fines arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP) and the MA in Contemporary artistic Practices in 2012. in 2008, she studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, Germany, under the Erasmus Programme, and in 2011, attended the School of Communications and arts or the University of São Paulo, Brazil, with a Santander grant. Some of the exhibitions she has participated in include in 2013 her first solo exhibition called “Colónia de Férias”, in Boutique, Cologne, Germany. In 2014 the group exhibition "Without mercy" at Sismógrafo, Porto, and "A riqueza múltipla e multiplicadora da ambiguidade” at Espaço Mira, Porto; in 2013 “Bes revelação prize 2012”, at Bes arte&Finança, Lisbon, "Copi, copi" at 111 Galery, Porto, and "Grandes Férias" at Rua do Sol 172, Porto; in 2012 “Bes revelação prize 2012”, at Casa de Serralves, Porto, “Qualquer coisa”, at the FBAUP Museum, Porto, “na casa com” (2nd edition), at Bonfim Parish, Porto, “the curatorial essay Hóspede”, at Parnaso building, Porto, and “Vestígios de um tempo imediatamente antes do fin", at Pé Direito, Porto. Since 2011 she has also been developing the project Senhora do lago, an independent publisher of artists’ books. She lives and works in Porto.
